The way of the South is the way of the healer by Kathleen

From Guiding Signs 101 Cards.
The South card
The way of the south is the way of the healer
Paying attention to your heart is the great reveler.
This starts by living a life of heart and meaning.
Gratitude and recognition to others you’re bringing.

“The way of the South is the way of the healer. The most potent form of healing is love. We give love through gratitude, acknowledgement, acceptance, validation, and recognition of others or ourselves. The indigenous people believe that the heart is the connection between Father Sky and Mother Earth. They talk about the four-chambered heart: the full heart, clear heart, open heart, and strong heart.”
(taken from the first paragraph of the Guiding Signs 101Guidebook)

As I write this blog it is Wednesday, October 26 2011. It is the new moon of Scorpio.
A time for setting our intentions and our intentions around Scorpio have to do with our feeling nature. Scorpio is the most yin or feminine of all of the signs.

Friday October 28, 2011 is the last day of the Mayan Calendar according to Carl Calleman’s calculations. Although I know there are differing views amongst the Maya. There are many Mayan Elders who hold December 21, 2012 at 11:11 pm as the end time for the 26,000 year calendar and the beginning of the new 26,000 year cycle. We also have the huge portal of 11-11-11 coming right up. November 11th 2011. In fact, there are Mayan Elders who will be starting a procession to sacred sites across the United States carrying 13 Crystal Skulls. Their intention is to activate a grid across America. They will end in Los Angeles on 11-11-11.

Speaking of Scorpio, how are you feeling these days? Many people are experiencing a fatigue as the new energies come in to our old physical systems. It can be tiring, you may experience needing more sleep than ever before or having your normal sleep patterns interrupted. One of the best ways to process this new energy is to spend more time in nature. Another way is to really be living from your heart. Continually check in with your choices; which ones have the most heart and meaning to you. Where is your heart calling you? Are you listening to your heart?

I am preparing to do a guided meditation for 11-11-11. As I sit in silence and listen to what is coming through to me I understand that this portal is about bringing together duality. It is about the union of opposites. Through that union we create a unified field in our heart. It is in the space of this unified field of our hearts that we step through to more of who we truly are. We are stepping out of the limitations of the third dimension we have known for eons of time. We are stepping into territories we are not familiar with. The best way to take advantage of this time that I know of is to witness your shadow and anything that has been holding you back. Places you need to love or forgive yourself or others. Witnessing those places. Feeling the pain that living in the third dimension can bring with limitations and making “mistakes”. Being in our ego instead of our hearts and love. Then choosing to be in a higher field by choosing love, choosing acceptance. Not feeling like you need to change yourself or others. Accepting. Choosing gratitude and appreciation. Instead of putting your focus on things and objects putting your attention on the space around the things. Putting your attention around the space of gratitude. You will be able to expand into more of who you truly are, past your physical body as you place your awareness on spaciousness and gratitude. I would like to thank Tom Kenyon for his beautiful messages and meditations.

I would also like to thank my teacher from 1999 to 2001- Dr. Angeles Arrien, PhD, Cultural Anthropologist. She studied the ways of the indigenous peoples from around the world and then wrote a book called The Four Fold Way about what they shared in common. The Four ways are: South the Healer, North the Warrior, East the Visionary and West the teacher. It was in the Four Fold Way that I was first introduced to studying the heart. Choosing to follow a path of Heart and Meaning!

I also used the South, North, East and West in the Guiding Signs 101 cards with their deepest meaning coming from Angeles Arrien’s work The Four Fold Way, which I highly recommend.

I truly believe the next few weeks are a very powerful time for humanity. It is a time where the energies are magnified. Where are you putting your attention? Are you putting your attention on your limitations and what is not working? Are you putting your attention on your highest dreams and what holds the most heart and passion for you? You will be noticing that things are being reflected more quickly than ever before, the things you consider “good” and “bad”! I encourage you to use this powerful time for calling forth your truest most powerful self and your dearest dreams. What is it you most want to give birth to? Have FUN!! PLAY!! DREAM BIG!!

*Kathleen McIntire will be holding a ritual for 11-11-11 on November 11, 2011 from 10am til 12:22 pm at MoonBear Sanctuary
she will also be posting a guided meditation you can follow on 11-11-11 or anytime on YouTube.  To be posted November 1, 2011.  Click here to follow on Youtube

We are all giving birth to the light and to love. By forgiving ourselves and others and seeing where our love has been locked out we can unleash this love now!! Together we are all giving birth to a new paradigm of love!

A wise eleven year old told me I watched too many dramas and documentaries. He thought I needed more comedy and magical movies and made me a list that I am working through. I am on my sixth Harry Potter movie. In the movie I just watched evil had been hidden in objects and must be found and destroyed.

I realized that the opposite is also true. Love has been suppressed, hidden and locked away for eons of time. We have been living in a paradigm of fear and control. How do we move from fear into love? Fear is punishment, we make mistakes and we punish. We punish ourselves. We punish others. Look at all the ways we withhold love. Now is the time to give out that love. Our deepest wounds are usually where we have held back love.

Recently I have had someone in my life who started to make mistakes.  The more she feared making a mistake the more mistakes started to appear.  The more irritation and negative energy I felt towards the mistakes the more energy I was feeding to them.  They did what all things do with tons of attention placed on them – they grew and multiplied.  I started to expect them to happen. Instead of my focus being on the thousands of things that were incredible and working, the mistakes became my focus.

I set an intention to release any negative limiting patterns in my life.  I saw some things I had been blind to seeing because they were part of the fabric of “me” and the eyes I look out from.

In a time of silence and deep introspection I saw how deeply I loved the person making the mistakes. What had come up between us was about me.  I have not been able to make mistakes in my life.  When I was a six month old baby and I didn’t want to eat my food my dad hit me.  When I was a toddler and spilled my milk at dinner I got a beating.  In sixth grade I struggled doing fractions in math, when my dad couldn’t get me to understand he beat me.  Plus the multitude of times over the years a mistake meant being hurt and punished.  From early on I trained myself never to make mistakes, to be careful and hyper-vigilant.  Life was walking on egg shells, waiting for explosions to come. Trying to make sure they didn’t.  I learned not to make little mistakes but now I was able to see how I made the biggest mistake of all…. I was unable to love that part of someone dear in my life making mistakes.  Really it was me I couldn’t love. I have never been able to love that part of myself.

I gave gratitude to the Divine for conspiring to bring this person into my life for many reasons. The most recent to initiate a healing in me so I could embrace making mistakes and see how this has limited me my whole life.  We need to be able to make mistakes to be able to grow and evolve.  It has been a place that has stolen parts of my love and locked it in a closet.

I see how we as humans are all walking mistakes not meaning to be but because of our traps and limitations we are.  Now to BIRTH love in the world we need to open those doors where our hearts have been closed and let all that love out!!

I sent an email to my dear friend who had made the mistakes “I see what I have done to you is one of those unpardonable things.  I didn’t see you and I was not able to truly love you in those moments of the mistakes because I couldn’t love that in myself. You made the little mistakes and I made the big one.  I hope you have it in your heart to forgive me because I am so truly and deeply sorry.  I love you and admire you with all my heart.  And I choose to love myself even as I make this huge mistake and this is a new beginning for me. Thank you for your gifts of seeing and allowing me to evolve to more love and to opening my heart to being able to receive that love.“

I was able to see where I was unconscious in an area of my life. I was not able to love because of something inside of me.  It gave me the opportunity to release old limiting patterns that were holding me back.  I gave these limiting patterns to Mother Earth asking her to transmute them.  It all opened me to more love.

I invite you to look into your life and see where you are holding love back.  A good place to start is with a wound you carry. Another key is to find the places where you feel irritation to another person.  There is something that is still working you.  Where have you held back love because of the hurt you felt?

Look and see yourself as a child and see where this may have come from.  Also, imagine that person in their youth and look to see what might have happened to them that caused them to hold the behavior that you see causing pain you have felt.  Realize that someone did something to that person to cause this behavior and this keeps going back in time.  As Bob Hoffman, founder of The Hoffman Process said “we are all guilty but no one is to blame”.  Imagine unleashing all this love we have suppressed and locked away in closets!  The power is here now by allowing it out to truly turn a paradigm based on fear into one of love.  It is birthing time here on our planet.

Tools for Success

Tools for Success

Patt Lind-Kyle

Over the years I have found many tools that have been a huge key in my success.  Some of these tools are visioning with the 5 senses, shamanic drumming journeys, Cellular Memory Release, Emotional Freedom Technique, doing an Evening Review and journaling; to name a few.  Today I want to share the power of the theta meditation for accessing your wisdom. In Patt Lind-Kyle’s latest book  Heal your Mind, Rewire Your Brain she has included a CD with meditations. She calls the theta meditation the “Wisdom meditation”.  This meditation accesses a deep place where the subconscious resides.  You are able to go past your beta brain, the place that tries to “figure things out” to theta, that deep place that has inner knowing, certainty.

On the CD you are lead on a guided journey meditation to a little cottage that has a long hallway of doors on the left and right of different colors and symbols and you first choose a door on the left and then one on the right to enter.  You set an intention before beginning the meditation.  For me, these meditations access a place of not only deep wisdom but also magic!

Erin Cote and I would do one of Patt’s theta mediation’s at each step of the way in our creation of the Guiding Signs 101 cards.  On our first theta meditation about the creation of the cards we were meditating to access how the cards should look.  The first door I went through was a green door.  What I entered was the outdoors, nature, it was all green and mossy with big rocks, waterfalls and rainbows.  An elder fairy appeared.  I told him I had come to find out what the cards were to look like.  In a deep elderly voice he asked why I was looking for that information!  He said “Erin is the artist, that is her job, she has that covered”.  Then he told me he was there along with the other fairies to sprinkle fairy dust and get people ready for these cards.  When we came out of the meditation sure enough Erin had seen that the cards needed to be fun and playful and she knew exactly how to proceed in creating them!

Patt recently explained to me how perfect the cards were having the playful design.  She is an expert on the brain and how it works.  I can’t remember all the technical words but basically it was about how the place of fear in our brain is right next to the place that you take in new information.  If the cards had a look that was “new agey” it could put people into fear instead of allowing them to open to the wisdom and the messages that the guidebook carries.  The cards can be a great tool for someone already familiar with accessing their inner voice and intuition for guidance in seeing the larger picture and making wise decisions.  The cards are equally as helpful for giving a family member, friend or co-worker the opportunity to play and access deeper wisdom in a fun way as well.  They can be used for improving and opening communication with a spouse or with family members, children or adults! They are like having a personal coach with you each day to access your inner wisdom to wise decisions and help you stay on track to your deepest passions and goals.  Patt’s theta or wisdom meditation is also a fabulous tool for accessing the deepest recesses of your brain where truth and knowingness, where your wisdom resides.

This is from Patt’s recent blog on Your Road to Success
“I imagine that most of us want to be successful at least once in our life. Each of us defines success in our own way. My question for you is, “What does success mean for you?” Take a moment to remember a time when you were successful.  Was it passing a life test like completing college, getting the job you wanted, or making a great deal?  Whatever the form of success it required you to make a major decision.   How did you make that decision? What was the technique you used to make the decision and are you always successful with the final result using that technique?

According to the latest brain research, making a decision does not come from our thinking, rational, conscious brain that is in the cortex at the crown of our head. Actually, we just rationalize our decisions from the cortex by using our fast beta brain waves. The basic function of the cortex is used to carry out, strategize, rationalize, and plan for the decisions you make.  What is interesting is that more than half the decisions we make are made deep inside the brain in the limbic system in the emotional brain that is run by slower theta brain waves. This area of the brain is also where the subconscious mind resides. The key question is, how do we by pass the cortex and find the real area of the brain that gives us the true answers to our questions and make the key decisions for our success in life?

One way to slow down your brain waves to make decisions as wells as get incredible insight for your life is to use my Heal Your Mind, Rewire Your Brain CD’s. On the fourth track of the CD is the theta meditation. It is called the Wisdom Meditation, which is designed to help you make decisions and gain insight and “wisdom” for your life.”

Patt goes on to talk about the value of the Guiding Signs 101 cards…..” These wonderfully creative cards are guidance cards for a smooth ride on your life’s journey.  I highly recommend them because they really develop the power of our own intuitive decision making ability. We know that the power to make the small and large decisions of our lives comes from inside of us not outside.”.  Thank you Patt and thank you for your beautiful tool…. Your book and CD of meditations- especially our favorite; the theta!!

Our difficult tests lead to our biggest blessings…By Kathleen

Today I was on the radio.  It was an interview with Elisa Parker of See Jane Do, on KVMR radio station.  The subject was about sexual assault/ molestation.  It was about women survivors who have gone on to do incredible things in the world to empower and help heal other women.  It was six women’s stories woven together.

I was the last one.  I have to say I was holding my breath and feeling anxious as I listened to the other women waiting for my prerecorded interview to air.  This was the first time I had talked about it publicly.  I had made mention of it one other time on Elisa’s show.  When my part did air I had a sense of relief.  It felt like breaking the silence was a huge key that unlocked something powerful.  In the dark things keep perpetuating.  But by breaking the silence and denial it is like throwing that bucket of water on the wicked witch.  She melts!

Part of my interview was about flying home last May to Salt Lake City and having a deep and difficult talk with my mother before flying to Canada to be part of a conference with the Nobel Women Peace Laureates on Ending Rape as a Tool of War.  I had a realization to change anything “out there” in the world that I must first start in my own life.  I needed to address the denial we have had in our family.  I told my mother I needed to have my voice set free now to speak the truth and help others.  I asked her “mama can you stand behind me and be my ally.?”  She said “yes, yes I can.  What happened?” I had come to her 15 years ago telling her about the years of sexual molestation by my father.  My mother and sisters weren’t ready to hear that.  They told me this couldn’t have happened, it didn’t happen in our family.  Now 15 years later, how we have all grown!  I told my mother that I loved her with all my heart and I would choose her to be my mother again.  I knew that all that had happened to me was part of the life path I had signed up for in this life.  It was my path to take the deepest darkest and bring it back up to the light.  There were no mistakes.

My mother listened with all her heart.  She wanted to know everything and asked me the hardest questions.  She was no longer in denial.  She was courageous and fully present.  Then she said “I am so sorry this happened to you”.

What I have learned through my experience:  I know that our light is incorruptible.  The light that we are is always there.  There are only things that happen that make us temporarily forget our light and who we truly are.  Part of the game on planet Earth is remembering what we have forgotten.  Knowing that the bad things that happen to us are not us.  They are not who we are. There is no shame. Our job is to remember how to love ourselves unconditionally with all our heart.  Because only by loving ourselves can we truly love others.  We also get to remember to forgive ourselves; forgiving others is simply an extension of forgiving self.  We get to see that the people that have shown up in our lives that have tested us the most have helped to mold us into the incredible people we are today.  There is no such thing as “victim” only victorious.  Each moment we have the choice to create an amazing life for ourselves!  With all of this I feel an overwhelming gratitude that is hard to contain in my heart, it truly spills over.

It can be a hard time on our planet.  We may find ourselves tested and broken open to find our deepest truth and let go of false illusions that the material world will bring happiness or make us “safe”.  This is the time that we get to find our inner truth.  Listen to that small still voice within to guide us.  This is our time to find our deepest courage.  A time to let go of our limiting beliefs of separation.  Our separation to our divine self and believing that it lives outside of us.  Realizing that we are the Divine having an earthly experience.  Remembering our connection to all life; the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms and to each other.  Remembering power is not “power over” that destroys and creates separation.  True power is the power to be who we truly are and create what is life affirming for all.  In this connection we see how we truly are all one family.
